A few days ago I shared on my business facebook page that I wanted to participate in a photography project this year, Project 52. I'm sure most of you have a few questions.. "What is Project 52?" & "Why do you want to participate?".

Well, it's quite simple.

Let me begin by explaining the what. Project 52 (P52) is a 52 week photo challenge. All you have to do is take one themed photo per week. Just one! Doesn't seem that hard does it? (No, it's actually really simple which is why I chose this project instead of Project 365. I think you understand what that would mean.) I will share the list of themes with you that I will be doing. I would even love for you to share along with me!

Now, on to the why. More photos for ME. This is my main reason for wanting to participate. Of course I love taking photos of all my clients. Seriously, I LOVE it! It's kinda my passion... however, while looking through all my photos of the year I realized that there was an area on my computer desk that was slacking, my 2014 personal folder. There was almost nothing in there. A few tee ball pictures, birthday pictures, etc. But not much. Now, I take a lot of photos, don't get me wrong. I just don't take the time to edit them like I do for everyone else (again, I LOVE it, I LOVE you guys!). Seeing Project 52 being shared by some of my other photographer colleagues in 2014 made me realize, this needs to happen. No questions asked.

Dust off that old film camera, throw an SD card in your point and shoot or figure out your manual settings on your DSLR. Every Sunday I will post the blog and share that weeks theme with you to capture during the rest of the week. I'd even love for you to share your shots along the way too!
